Becoming a U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School (USED GRS) is a two-step process. The first step is to complete a nomination form to be selected as a nominee by the eligible nominating authority in your state. In Missouri the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (MO DESE) is the nominating authority. However, MO DESE has designated the Missouri Environmental Education Association (MEEA) to handle the nomination process.
